The Daddy Mack Blues Band

The Wyoming Blues & Jazz Society is proud to announce the return of the Memphis based Daddy Mack Blues Band. Font man and lead guitarist Mack Orr became a musician late in life. Working as an auto mechanic he was in his 40's when he bought his first guitar and taught himself to play. At 50 he formed his first band and this year Orr has put out his seventh album "A Bluesman looks at Seventy"

The Daddy Mack Blues Band honors the traditional electric blues style of the late B.B. King and is heavily influenced by Albert King, also known as "The Velvet Bulldozer." A privileged few Casper citizens were lucky enough to witness his down home raw blues quartet on a hot August night in 2013 when they were just passing through town.  You can count on them heating things up this November!

But there's more...Come also to see some home grown Wyoming Blues musicians and cheer them down the road! This special event will also feature 2015 Wyoming Blues Challenge winners; Down in the Roots from Jackson, and the Melissa B. Band from Sheridan. All proceeds from the show will go towards sending Wyoming's finest blues talent to the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, in January. Tennessee.
